Friendship Quotes for Friendship Day
International Friendship Day is just around the corner it's the first Sunday in August. This year it falls on August 5th. Congress declared Friendship Day as a holiday to honor the friends of United States in 1935. These days people all over the world are celebrating Friendship Day. I mean what's there not to celebrate because friendships can be understood by all cultures and languages. They even celebrate Friendship Day out in India!

And talk about languages, I really love reading and collecting friendship quotes. I'd like to share my top ten friendship quotes by famous writers and poets. They're right here:

"I will speak ill of no man, and speak all the good I know of everybody."
- Benjamin Franklin

"Misfortune shows those who are not really friends."
- Aristotle

"The bird a nest, the spider a web, man friendship."
- William Blake

"Friends are the sunshine of life."
- John Hay

"Wishing to be friends is quick work, but friendship is a slow-ripening fruit."
- Aristotle (4th century B.C.)

"Every man passes his life in the search after friendship."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Your friend is your needs answered."
- Kahil Gibran

"The language of friendship is not words but meanings."
- Henry David Thoreau

"In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."
-Martin Luther King, Jr.

"... no man is useless while he has a friend."
- Robert Louis Stevenson
